Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, leading a high-stakes government-to-government nutrition mission on the invitation of Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister, Temesgen Tiruneh.
As head of Nigeria’s delegation, the Vice President will participate in the inaugural Nigeria-Ethiopia Nutrition Leadership Exchange, a forum aimed at sharing experiences on building a federal, state and local compact on nutrition and accelerating delivery through a government-led plan.
During the visit, the Nigerian team will tour key establishments, including a wheat farm and banana plantation in Oromia, the ‘Bounty of the Basket’ Training Centre, and Jabdu Motors in Bishoftu.

On the Vice President’s entourage are Governors Dauda Lawal of Zamfara and Umar Namadi of Jigawa, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, his Agriculture and Food Security counterpart, Senator Abubakar Kyari, and the Director General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar Abubakar.
