The Obidient Movement has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to conduct an independent forensic audit of its preliminary voters’ register ahead of the 2027 general election. This follows allegations of AI-generated photographs and discrepancies in polling-unit figures.
The Movement cited a reported case in Edo State, where registered voters in a polling unit allegedly increased from 397 in 2024 to 4,783 in 2026. It called for a transparent explanation.
The Movement also outlined plans to strengthen its structures nationwide, with functional coordination across all states, local government areas, wards, communities and polling units ahead of the 2027 election.
