The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has commended Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his support and commitment to the Nigerian Army in the state.
General Shaibu gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the governor at the Government House in Benin City, where he acknowledged the state government’s support for the Army’s operations and activities in Edo State.
The Army Chief was in the state to attend several military functions and inspect projects aimed at improving the welfare and operational effectiveness of officers and soldiers.
During the visit, General Shaibu thanked Governor Okpebholo for his administration’s support for the Nigerian Army.

The Edo governor appreciated the Nigerian Army for its role in maintaining security in Edo State and assured the Chief of Army Staff of his administration’s continued cooperation and support.
Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence that the existing partnership between the Edo State Government and the Nigerian Army would continue to yield positive results for the people.
