Nigerian Youths full of expectations as Kano Govt. hosts Ramat Cup Tournament

The Youth Sports Federation Of Nigeria YSFON, has again set the ball rolling as excitement is already in the air preparatory for the 39th edition of the Ramat Cup International Under 16 Boys football tournament and the Nasiru Gawuna Athletics Championship holding in Kano.

The all encompassing Sports events that have produced Nigerian football and athletic stars is put together by the Nation’s foremost Youths sports organizing body YSFON and sponsored by the Kano State Goverment.

Speaking with Sports Journalists on Monday YSFON’s organizing Secretary Abdulrasaq Usman says despite the initial hiccups, the 2022 edition of the competition promises to be the best in terms of Organiation, Security and Prizes for the winners and outstanding athletes.

President of YSFON and Deputy Governor of Kano State Dr Nasiru Gawuna says the Kano Goverment is not relenting in its efforts to give participating youths a wonderful opportunity to enable them actualize their dreams.

In his reaction,YSFON’s National Secretary Olorogun Patrick Okpavuerhe says over 25 States have so far indicated interest in the tournament as it plans to fine-tune the fixtures to accommodate more teams.

Okpavuerhe insisted that YSFON has instructed the teams to play by Covid-19 rules and protocols to ensure the safety of all participants.

All Participating teams must present both football and athletics squads.They are to arrive the Kano Pillars Stadium on the 11th of February 2022 for the 10- day- events which is expected to end on the 19th of February.
