2023 Presidential Race: Gov. Tambuwal visits Zamfara PDP Stakeholders for consultation

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has charged Nigerian leaders to work together to address insecurity, in order to restore peace in the country.

Tambuwal was speaking during his consultative visit to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP stakeholders in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, over his 2023 presidential ambition.

He told the People’s Democratic Party, PDP stakeholders, that he was there to consult with them, to see the possibility of contesting for the ticket as the flag bearer of the party in the 2023 general election.

Tambuwal observed that the reasons which made him leave the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the PDP are still in place, which he highlighted as, high level of insecurity, poverty, bad economy and near absence of healthcare system in the country.

The leader of the PDP in Zamfara State, Deputy Governor Mahadi Gusau, appreciated the support which the party in the state has been enjoying from Governor Aminu Tambuwal.

Mahadi Gusau believed that PDP members who refused to go with Governor Bello Mohammed to the APC are genuine and loyal members of the party, who will rally support for Aminu Tambuwal if he declares his intention to run for the 2023 presidential race.

Former Sokoto State Governor Attahiru Bafarawa told the PDP stakeholders in Zamfara State, that they came to solicit their prayers and support for Aminu Tambuwal, who wants to throw his hat in for the 2023 presidential race.

On the Zamfara State House of Assembly planned impeachment of the state’s Deputy Governor Mahadi Gusau, Governor Tambuwal cautioned the state lawmakers to always act in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic, especially that there is a subsisting court order, restraining them from taking any action.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal was accompanied on the consultative visit by former Sokoto State Governor Attahiru Bafarawa, former Deputy Governor, Mukhtar Shagari and PDP State Chairman, Bello Goronyo, amongst others.
