A member representing Ilorin South in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Abdulazeez Oluwanilo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been sacked by a Court of Appeal sitting in Ilorin.
The court also ordered that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Jimoh AbdulRaheem Agboola, be declared winner and issued with Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).
However, Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, congratulated the candidate of the PDP for the House of Assembly in Ilorin South Constituency over his victory at the Appeal Court judgment that ordered his swearing in for the legislative seat.
Describing the development as one of the beauties of democracy, AbdulRazaq said in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, that Agboola should join hands with him to uplift the state.
