The Edo State Police Command says it is currently carrying out investigations into last Thursday’s attack on five commercial banks in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area of the State.
The Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations in Edo, Miller Dantawaya disclosed this after a closed door security at Government House, Benin City.

He said useful leads have been obtained concerning the attack which cannot be made public for now Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu said the State Government is doing everything possible to secure the state after the robbery attacks and commended the courage of the youths of Ubiaja in Esan South East for trying to stop the fleeing robbers which led to the abandonment of some vehicles and cash.
