Long queues of vehicles, commercial motorcycle and tricycle were observed at petrol stations in Zamfara State, Northwest, Nigeria.

The development compelled motorcycles and tricycle operators to increase transportation fares across the state.

AIT News went around the Gusau metropolis to feel the pulse of the people over the situation.

It was also observed that some filling stations that were dispensing the products were faced with long queues, while some others closed shop due to the lack of the product.

Some residents who spoke to AIT News, lamented the difficulties they a encountered, in trying to get petrol, even at an increased price.

They are asking the authorities concerned, to address the challenges, in order to alleviate the suffering that the development has posed to Nigerians.

Some of the managers of some filling stations that were dispensing the product assured that the product is available and they will continue to give it to dispense to consumers in the state.

The manager of one of the filling stations alleged that security personnel are also part of the problem, as they would always want to use their powers to forcefully get the fuel instead of joining the queues to ensure orderliness.
