Senator Ademola Adeleke has been declared the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Osun State after winning the primaries backed by National Working Committee.
The Returning Officer and Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, while declaring the result, said Ademola Adeleke polled 1,887 votes out of 1,916 delegates whp voted in the primaries.

Adeleke was the candidate of the party in the 2018 Governorship election where he lost to Governor Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, APC whom he will also be contesting against on July 16.
Meanwhile, another parallel primaries of the PDP was held in Oshogbo where Dotun Babayemi was returned as the candidate of the party
