Goods and property worth millions of naira have again been destroyed by fire at the popular Macavai market in Warri south local government area of Delta state.
The inferno which started at about 9am, razed down chains of stalls and other commercial buildings belonging to the traders.
According to sources, the fire allegedly emanated from a section of the market where illegally refined crude oil products were stored.

Most of the goods affected include frozen foods, bags of rice, beans, onions, dried fish among others.
The affected traders are already lamenting as they count their losses.
The unfortunate incident is coming barely two months after a similar one occurred at the popular Warri Ogbe-joh market where fortunes were lost to the inferno allegedly caused by an expended cigarette.
