As the jostle for positions in the 2023 general election begins to gather momentum the people of the Benue South senatorial district have taken their quest for the number one position in the State a step futher by launching a demonstration on the Streets of the State capital and presenting their demands to the State Governor.

A summary of their request as highlighted by the National Cordinator Benue rebirth movement Monday Morgan and other critical stakeholders is one tribe should not be allowed to rule in perpetuity, but power should rotate in the spirit of equity and oneness.

The number 2 position in the State is seemingly the exclusive reserve of the people of the Benue south senatorial district since the return of democracy with the tiv majority holding sway at number 1.

As the 2nd largest tribe in the State the Idoma people and also the Igede tribe who are yet to enjoy the luxury of being the first citizen in State feel the time has come for residents to have a rethink.

In their numbers both old and young the pressure group takes its
equality campaign through the streets of the State capital to the Government house.

They proceed to the IBB Square were they again make their strong point of the zones readiness to occupy the Government house come 2023.

The group says that It is a general appeal to the tiv majority which comprises north west and east in the spirit of equity and fairness to support a minority rule.
