As the fuel scarcity experienced in parts of the country continue to bite harder, some motorists in Kano have accused petrol stations managers of hoarding with the sole aim of selling to black marketers.
The motorists are calling on concerned authorities to sanction such petrol stations and those selling beyond the approved pump price of 165 naira per liter.
Kano State, Northwest, Nigeria is one of states facing the scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS also known as petrol as confirmed by these respondents.
It is an endless queue in some of the fuelling stations visited within the metropolis.
Some consumers of the petroleum product alleged that the product is being hoarded by the managers of the fuelling stations who in turn sell to the black marketers.
They are asking authorities concerned to address the challenge through effective monitoring and also make the product available.
Some of the fuel stations monitored, showed that a litre of fuel is sold at 165 Naira while some sell between 260 naira and 275 naira per liter.
