The Joint Taskforce deployed by Niger State Government have in the last three days killed large number of terrorists in Munya Local Government Area.
The Joint Taskforce had recorded the success shortly after the terrorists had attacked some communities.
According to an eyewitness who disclosed that unspecified number of some terrorists also ran into Kundu forests with gun wounds.
The recent meeting between the Commissioner For Local Government, Community Development and Internal Security with Community, Political Leaders and other Stakeholders in the Local Government formed parts of the success story.
Commissioner For Local Government Community Development and Internal Security Emmanuel Umar confirmed the development and assured the people of Niger State that Government will continue to work closely with security agencies and communities to address the challenges of insecurity in the State
Emmanuel Umar says that the activities of informants among the community members remains a major challenge in the fight against insecurity across the State.
