Resident Car Hire Service providers at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja have vowed to resist the proposal by the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, (FAAN) to develop an APP for them with a view to creating safe environment and reliable services for airport passengers.
The Resident Car Hire service providers reaffirmed stated this on Monday when they protested against alleged maltreatment of their members and mismanagement of road transport operations by FAAN within the Abuja airport.

Their placards bore inscriptions against FAAN, accusing the management of using the proposed mobile APP development to run them out of business.
FAAN however denied allegations by the transport service providers, explaining that the APP development is to migrate them services to a digital platform and boost air travelers confidence in them as essential service providers.
The airport taxi drivers had three weeks ago planned to embark on a protest action but the promise by the Senate Committee on Aviation to intervene in the dispute.
Monday’s protest was a direct result of FAAN’s failure to resolve the matter.
