Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has said what the country needs at this time is a leader with capacity and the determination to break what he described as regional siege on the country and pave the way for development.

Abubakar stated this when he received a delegation of the Forum of Former Deputy Governors across the PDP States at his Abuja residence ahead of the party primary elections.

The PDP frontline Presidential aspirant intensified his wide consultations with various stakeholders within and outside PDP on Monday as he met with
the Forum of former PDP Deputy Governors who pledged support for his Presidential ambition.

Coordinator of the Atiku Abubakar Consultation Team, Raymond Dokpesi, and others in the team said Abubakar is the candidate to beat in 2023.

Appreciating the delegation, Abubakar said his leadership will break the regional siege on the country that has plunged the country into a security and economic crisis.

Atiku Abubakar has met with other interest groups with the PDP including the Senate PDP Minority Caucus and the House of Representatives PDP Minority Caucus ahead of the party’s primary elections.
