As the Qatar 2022, World Cup playoff against Black Stars of Ghana gets closer, the Head Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Austin Eguavoen, says he will trim down the team next week.

Two weeks ago, Eguavoen released the list of 25 players and 7 standbys that will prosecute the two-legged affairs.

According to the report coming from the football house, the coach will announce the final list of 23 players that will play in the important games.

With the injuries to some players on the list, it’s yet to be seen the two players that will be dropped from the 25 main lists, even players on standby may have to move into the main team.

Meanwhile, the arrangement has been concluded by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, for the team to depart Abuja next Wednesday for Accra, Ghana, venue of the match.

Until further information, the match is still expected to be played at the Cape Coast Stadium, despite the poor condition of the pitch, unless the world football ruling body changes the venue.
