President Muhammadu Buhari has given full backing to the Mai Mala Buni led Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee to assume full control of the All Progressives Congress.
By this directive the Buni led Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee is responsible for the planning, preparation and execution of the National convention of the All Progressives Congress scheduled for March 26.
This is contained in a correspondence sent to the chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State.
The president in his letter asked the party’s leadership to save it from current litany of controversies that may question the status and affect the feasibility of its proposed national convention.
