Joint security operatives neutralize more than a hundred terrorists in Mariga LGA, Niger State

A Joint Security Taskforce has neutralized more than one hundred terrorists during fire exchange in an attack on Bangi community in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State, North-Central Nigeria.

The terrorists had on Wednesday, stormed Bangi Divisional Police Station.

According to an eyewitness, the bandits were in their hundreds on motorcycles and were well-armed.

Bangi community members quickly dispersed through different exit routes.

Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State has commended the professionalism exhibited by the Joint Security Operatives to abort the attack.

Governor Abubakar Bello has also reiterated the commitment of his administration to support the security agencies to win the fight against the terrorists in all parts of the state.

The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mary Berje, acknowledged that similar successes were recorded by the Joint Security Operatives who killed dozens of terrorists in the Nasko community in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.
