The Country home of Professor George Obiozor, the President General of apex Igbo socio-cultural group Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Aso-mmama community in Oru-east local government area of Imo state has been razed by gunmen in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Confirming the incident to AIT, the Public relations officer of the Imo state police command, Mike Abattam says the hoodlums who came in vehicles threw petrol bombs in the house damaging properties. He adds that no life was lost and no one injured as Professor Obiozor was not in the house when the incident happened.
Abattam says the Commissioner of Police Rabiu Hussaini has deployed all tactical team to the area to maintain law and order while investigation into the incident has already commenced.
