Akwa Ibom state governor, Udom Emmanuel has charged people of the state to resist politicians who promote violence and fetish oaths in the coming elections.
Governor Emmanuel gave the charge at the swearing in of six new commissioners in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.
Governor Udom Emmanuel administered the oath of office and allegiance to the newest members of the state executive council.
He used the occasion to speak against issues usually observed during electioneering campaigns.
The governor also gave knocks to some past political office holders for their unreasonable demands.
The Akwa Ibom State chief executive expressed confidence in the ability of the new commissioners to deliver the remaining one year of his administration.
The six new commissioners are replacing those who resigned their appointments to further their political ambitions.
