Federal High Court goes on Easter vacation April 8

Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho has approved April 8 to 25 as Easter holiday for judicial officers and workers of the Court.

The Easter vacation was granted pursuant to provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (b) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedures) Rules, 2019 (as amended).

This information is contained in a statement by the Chief Information Officer of the court, Catherine Oby Christopher which indicates that the Easter vacation will commence from Friday, the 8th day of April, 2022 to Monday, the 25th day of April, 2022.

The statement discloses that courts shall resume in all judicial divisions on Tuesday, the 26th of April, 2022.

During the vacation, Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt judicial divisions shall remain open to the public for cases of extreme urgency.

The Abuja Division will handle cases from the Federal Capital Territory, North Central, North West and North Eastern parts of the Country.

The Lagos Division will be for cases from Lagos State and South Western States while Port-Harcourt Division will handle cases from the South-South and South- Eastern states.

According to the statement, Abuja Division shall during the period, have
Justice Ahmed Mohammed and
Justice Nkeonye Maha as vacation Judges.

The Lagos Division is to have Justice Tijjani Ringim and Justice A. O. Awogboro on duty while Port Harcourt Division shall have Justice A. T. Mohammed and Justice S. I. Mark as vacation Judges.
