Former Senate President, Puis Anyim, has urged the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to respect zoning as enshrined in the party’s constitution, if the party wants to win the 2023 Elections.

Anyim, who is also a Presidential aspirant under the PDP, said those calling for power to remain in the North are only doing so for their gains.

As the Race for the 2023 Presidential Elections gathers momentum, the issue of zoning has become a major concern within the opposition PDP.

Former Senate President Puis Ayim who was in Jos for a visit said any attempt to drop the idea of zoning should not be entertained.

He emphasized that 2023 is a defining moment in the history of the country, and only equity, fairness, and justice would guarantee victory for the PDP.

The former senator from Ebonyi State in the South East region said he is contesting as a Nigerian, who is acceptable to all regions of the country, as leaders in the 21st Century require one with the needed capacity to deliver on the job.
