France will begin their world cup title Defence In Group D As Hosts Qatar Face Netherlands according to the draws held on Friday in Doha, Qatar

The defending champions France were drawn in Group D against Denmark, Tunisia and the eventual winner between UAE and Australia.

Having won the last edition in Russia, France remains one of the favorites to win the tournament in Qatar but will first navigate their way past Denmark, Tunisia and the eventual winner in June’s playoff between UAE/Australia in Group D.

Hosts Qatar will have their hands full in Group A as they are set to battle Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador.

Although luck was not on their side during the draw, Qatar will want to bank on the home support to at least get to the second round.

The legend of the game is yet to lift the World Cup despite making it to the final against Germany in 2014 but having won the last Copa America, the PSG forward will look to draw inspiration from the triumph when they battle Mexico, Poland and Saudi Arabia in Group C.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portuguese teammates will have their hands full in Group H against Uruguay, South Korea and Ghana. While Ghana will hope to put the ghosts of twelve years ago behind them when they face Uruguay, the team that denied the African team of an historic place in the World Cup semifinal in 2010.

Belgium, which recently lost the top place in the FIFA rankings find themselves in Group F and will slug it out against Croatia, Morocco and Canada who returned to the world stage after 36 years.
