A gas pipeline explosion has been reported in the Mosogar community, along the Warri -Benin expressway, in the Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to local sources, the magnitude of the blast affected some buildings in the community, causing residents to flee their homes over fear of a possible fire outbreak.
The cause of the erupted gas leakage has been attributed to corroded pipes.
Meanwhile, the State Police Command has called on the community residents to remain calm, with the assurance that the appropriate authorities handling such issues will be notified.
