Angry youths on Wednesday chased out the lawmaker representing Owo constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, over allegations of poor performance in his constituent area of jurisdiction.
Ogunmolasuyi who is the majority Leader of the State Assembly representing Owo Constituency 1, was said to have escaped being lynched by the angry youths, who threw stones and sticks at the lawmaker and his entourage.
Reports say the majority leader had scheduled a meeting with some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Iloro community to inform them of his intent to contest membership of the state Assembly for a second term when the youths spotted him.
In a viral video on various social media platforms , the youths were heard shouting down on the lawmaker accusing him of abandoning them.
The development was however brought under control after the intervention of armed policeman attached to the lawmaker.
