The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has set a yardstick for the choice of who becomes the next President of Nigeria.

The Governor says, it must be someone who can tackle the challenging insecurity bedeviling the nation.

Ikpeazu was speaking when he played host to his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike at the Government House, Umuahia.

Governor Wike, a presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP was in Abia State to seek for the votes of delegates in the May 28th national convention of the Party.

The Abia State Governor told the gathering that Governor Wike has paid his dues in the PDP and has a clear vision on what he is going to do for the country if elected.

Ikpeazu observed that the problem of Nigeria has gone beyond infrastructure development, to issues of whether Nigeria is still a nation given its life threatening challenges.

Governor Wike had told his neighbouring Abia State counterpart, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu that the visit was to consult with delegates and solicit for their support ahead of the forthcoming presidential primary election.

Wike is urging the delegates to consider one who can win the general elections, saying that he has the capacity to pull large votes across the country.
