Governor of Sokoto State Aminu Tambuwal and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential aspirant has called on Nigerians to ensure that the next president of the country should be one who knows their heartbeat and at the same time ready to address their problems.
Tambuwal who made this call when he met Delta PDP Delegates in Asaba the state capital said he is an apostle of devolution of power, fiscal federalism and restructuring, the key issues threatening the Unity of Nigeria.
Tambuwal former Speaker House of Representatives promised to partner with stakeholders to tackle the myriads of problems confronting the nation especially as it relates to insecurity and giving more attention to states and Local government system
He said its only when Nigerians elect a president who has knowledge of the country’s Constitution with friends across the geo political zones that things will change for better adding that he is the youngest of all the PDP Presidential aspirants
Tambuwal who justified the circumventing of the Party’s constitution of rotational presidency charged delegates to elect a leader with character, capacity and the right temperament
Governor Okowa recalled Tambuwal’s success stories as Speaker House of Representatives and Sokoto State Governor.
He adds that Nigeria is in a critical time that requires a lot of efforts on the part of the leaders and the citizens
Okowa emphasized that in as much as he believes in the Unity of Nigeria, everyone should be able to speak the truth to one another, sit on the table in such a manner that everybody will be carried along in the management of the affairs of the nation.
