The House of Representatives primary election of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State was marred by violence in some federal constituencies of the state on Friday.
in Akure South/Akure North Federal Constituency thugs disrupted the election, chasing away the delegates and the electoral officers at the scene of the election.

Thugs overwhelmed the security Agents at the venue of the exercise.
Delegates, journalists and INEC officials have to scamper for safety as cannisters of tear gas were fired.
Trouble started when the votes cast were about to be counted as a thug distrupt the process.
However, It was gathered that after the thugs had been chased away, the process continued as the Returning Officer of the election, Adeyemi Akola declared Derin Adesida as the winner of the primary having polled 68 votes to defeat the incumbent federal lawker, Mayokun Alade-Lawson, who scored 37 votes .
Similarly , at the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, voting was suspended when an aspirant and current speaker of the state alleged that his agent was beaten by some thugs.
