Journalists were prevented from covering the Ekiti north Senatorial district primary Election of the All progressives Congress, APC, which held on Saturday.
Security agents while reacting to the development, claimed they acted on instruction from the publicity secretary of the APC in Ekiti state.
Security agents claim the instruction came from the electoral committee led by Segun Dipe, the publicity secretary of the party in Ekiti state.
Dipe confirmed to have issued the instruction.

At the end of the exercise, senator representing Ekiti north in the national assembly, Olubunmi Adetunbi lost his re election bid. He was defeated by Cyril Fasuyi.
Attempts by Political thugs to disrupt the exercise was however averted by security operatives.
