Former Governor of Anambra State Peter Obi has congratulated Atiku Abubakar for clinching the 2023 presidential ticket of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
In the tweet on his verified Twitter handle, Obi described Atiku as his “leader and dear elder brother”
Obi also prayed for Atiku’s success. “I pray the Almighty God who sees your goodness will continue to bless you now and always”
Peter Obi who recently parted ways with the Peoples Democratic Party, was Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election on the platform of the PDP
Prior to his March 2023 declaration of intent to contest the PDP presidential ticket, Obi had attended Atiku’s presidential declaration at the International Conference Centre ICC in Abuja

He is known to still maintain a cordial relationship with Atiku despite withdrawing his presidential bid and resigning his membership of the PDP
Following his exit from the PDP, Obi last week announced his membership of the Labour Party, LP, where he is strongly believed to emerge as the standard bearer in the 2023 presidential election
