The Delta state police command says it killed suspected kidnappers in a gun battle at their hideout along Benin-Asaba highway.

The statement also mentioned that the police rapid response squad who were on under cover also arrested a man in possession of over four thousand wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine was also arrested.

It was also mentioned in the statement that police also recovered five hundred and forty rounds of live cartridges from a forty six year old Suleiman Musa.

The suspect was arrested, following a tip off, at an uncompleted building along Maryam Babangida way in Asaba.

The police say Suleiman’s arrest comes forty eight hours after men of the command intercepted over one thousand rounds of live cartridges from another suspect in Asaba.

The statement says the command is on red alert to ensure that criminals do not have their way in Delta state.
