A local youth leader of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Anambra State, South-East Nigeria has been killed by suspected gunmen.
The victim, identified as Emeka Alaehobi is the latest in a series of horrifying violent attacks in Anambra State.
Emeka was reportedly kidnapped late Friday at his residence in Ukpor, the headquarters of Nnewi South Local Government Area.
Locals told AIT that no demands for ransom was made or contact established by his abductors with the family, before his lifeless body was seen at Utuh Junction in the locality, Saturday.

There are insinuations that the killing of the APGA youth leader may be a case of assassination, rather than kidnapping for ransom.
The Police in Anambra State is yet to confirm the incident.
Nnewi South Local Government Area has been one of the worst hit areas in rising incidents of violent attacks and kidnappings, resulting in numerous deaths in recent times.
The Divisional Police headquarters in the area has been repeatedly attacked and burnt by hoodlums, with many of the police personnel brutally murdered by gunmen, leaving the areas unsecured and vulnerable to criminal activities.
