The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has decided to appeal to the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of universities to bring an end to the ongoing strike by the lecturers.
The students who have been on the streets in “endasuu” protests and even threatened to disrupt political parties primaries, admit that their protests appear to have fallen on deaf ears.
At media briefing in Abuja, NANS Senate president, Chucks Okafor said government has been sabotaging its genuine efforts to end the strike.

Okafor said being out of classrooms for 120 days, when schools are not on recognised holidays is suffocating and has forced innocent students into crime.
NANS also tasked the Mahmood Yakubu led Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to ensure free, fair and credible elections, not only in 2022 Ekiti and Osun Governorship polls, but in the general election in 2023
