The chairman, Code of conduct Bureau, Muhammad Isah, wants the establishment of special criminal courts to specifically adjudicate on corruption cases in the country.
The Bureau chief said this during the presentation of the country report on the review of the National anti-corruption strategy (NACS) between 2017 and 2021 by the chartered institute of forensics and certified fraud examiners of Nigeria.
The anti-corruption strategy by the Economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC), the Independent corrupt practices and other related offenses Commission (ICPC) and the code of conduct bureau (CCB) amongst other institutions, is aimed at identifying the causes of corruption and ways to tackle it.
These institutions expressed confidence that the reform of the judiciary and strengthening of the rule of law, the management of data and technology, are steps in the right direction toward achieving a corruption free society.
