The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has pledged hundred percent support to Governor Bello Mohammed’s new security measures for tackling banditry in the State.

The APC in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris said the party will ensure the success of the implementation of new policies so that peace and normalcy can return in the rural communities.

The party said, it is no longer news that governor has exhausted all available avenues to fight bandits and banditry in Zamfara State.

It said, he started with the peace accord, mobilized resources and equipment to security agents, sought for more deployment of security personnel, mobilized neighboring states and even neighboring Niger Republic but unable to succeed in addressing the situation.

The governor has since assumption of duty called on all Zamfara indigenes from within and outside the State as well as Nigerians and non Nigerians within and outside the country to help him in finding lasting solutions to banditry activities bedeviling the State.

The APC also said, many ideas were deployed to the State, still the problem persisted, so if the PDP especially the Zamfara chapter does not have a workable solution, it should shut up and let government do the needful to bring to an end the lingering insecurity.

Governor Mohammed took time to set up different organs and committees that will ensure that the insecurity does not goes out of hand.

Recall that the PDP had alleged that the Community Protection Guards, CPG, will be used against the opposition Political parties in the State.

APC further said, it was only the PDP that put the cart before the horse as nothing of such has been done against anyone in the State, where a level playing political ground has since been provided to all Political parties in the State.

It should be noted that all those who are trying to protect the criminals be it in the open or hidden that the Governor Mohammed’s administration will not be deterred by their antics and they should either leave their bad ways or leave the State or stay and face the consequences, the choice is exclusively theirs.

APC said that it is a known fact that the PDP in the state is not happy with the new security measures put in place because it has truncated what the party termed their evil plans to use insecurity as a weapon to campaign but now they are sure of complete defeat by the APC in the coming 2023 general election.
