The National Examinations Council, (NECO) says it has not scheduled any examination for Saturday, July 9, 2022, which is, Eid- Adha otherwise called Sallah Day.

Head Information and Public Relations Division of NECO, Azeez Sani stated that this is contrary to insinuations in some quarters that the Council has scheduled exams for July 9 despite the date being set aside as Sallah holiday.
NECO said it is conscious of the importance of religious festivals, pointing out that the council has always made adequate provision for such when fixing examination dates.
NECO assured that it has even given a whole examination free week beginning from Friday July 8 to Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in the on-going Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE for School-based candidates to enable Muslim faithful have enough time to celebrate the festival.
It would be recalled that the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination, (SSCE) for school based candidates began on June 27, and is expected to end on August 12, 2022.
