Nasarawa State, Governor, Abdullahi Sule says his administration has accessed monetary windfalls consisting of N9.75 billion and $15.7 million from the Federal Government and it will be judiciously utilised.
The Governor made this known when he received traditional rulers in the state who paid him the traditional sallah homage in Lafia, the state capital.
The monetary windfall of N9.75 billion is a refund from the Federal Government of money spent by Nasarawa State on construction of the Lafia Cargo Airport.
The Governor explained that the other $15.7 million fund was accrued to the state from the Federal Government as an encouragement to the state’s fight against corruption and enhancing of transparency in the use of public funds.

Governor Sule said the monies would be used in building critical infrastructure such as roads and markets, particularly completion of the Kwandere-Market Bypass started by the administration of Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
The Governor, therefore, maintained that he is not afraid to disclose the amounts accrued to the state from the windfalls because his administration has promised the people transparency and has nothing to hide.
