The Trade Union Congress, TUC, says the latest political development in Nigeria calls for active citizens’ participation, to enable a change of government.
The outgoing President of the TUC, Quadri Olaleye, made the call at the Twelfth Triennial Delegates Conference of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria in Abuja.
The conference is holding, despite a court injunction, stopping it by some aggrieved affiliate unions of the TUC, over the decision of the president.
Also speaking on the government’s lukewarm attitude to the myriad of challenges confronting the Nation, was the traditional ruler of Garki in Abuja, Usan Ngarkupi
A new president of the Trade Union Congress is expected at the end of the conference.
