The Katsina State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has called for the immediate disqualification and arrest of the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and his PDP counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, over alleged corruption that characterized their emergence, at the just concluded party primaries.

The state chairman of the party, Sani Liti, made the call while speaking to journalists in Katsina. He said, the basis for their disqualifications and arrest by the EFCC, DSS and the Police, is as a result of the perceived corrupt nomination done with the open delegates’ vote buying during the primary elections.

According to the Katsina State NNPP Chairman, Sani Liti, the party fears that if by chance any of the mentioned candidates emerges as president of the country, Nigeria will be pushed further into deeper corruption, citing examples of videos circulating on social media where delegates donated monies from the largesse to community members, as well as others buying brand new cars.

The party is also Re-emphasising the immediate resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari, over his alleged failure to address the worsening issue of security, and rising poverty in the land.
