The chairman, body of benchers, Wole Olanipekun, says president Muhammadu Buhari has acceded to the request for the upward review of salaries and emoluments of judges in the country.
The former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, who led a team of Body of Benchers to interface with President Buhari, said this while briefing news men on Monday in Abuja.
Olanipekun also said that President Buhari has issued a directive to those in charge to immediately commence work on the upgrade of the 2018 report of an Advisory Committee that has been submitted to him, bringing it in tune with current realities in the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision if implemented, will help to tackle the loopholes in the judiciary with regards to Judges welfare.
