Authorities in Nigeria may have to address the infrastructure challenge and human capital development deficit in order to achieve quality population census by the year twenty thirty.
The Chairman, national population commission, who is also the Chairman Of the Population Advisory group, ISA KWARRA, said this during the official inauguration of the population Advisory group on Monday in Abuja.
Nigeria’s Population is expected to be over four hundred million by the year 2050, making the country the third most populous country in the world.
The Chairman National Population Commission, Isa Kwarra, says the Inauguration of the Advisory group will help to set up the population structures that will address population issues in Nigeria.
He added that the Commission will work with all relevant Authorities to create the template for achieving Demographics target.
The population Advisory group which consists of fifteen representatives from the field of population management and development, is expected to advise government on how to build quality population in Nigeria.
