Bandits shoot AIG, kill orderly

Bandits operating along Kaduna-Abuja Expressway shot an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Audu Madaki on, 2 August 2022. AIG Madaki is in charge of Zone ’12’ Police Command in Bauchi State.

ait.live exclusively learnt that the attack occurred in the afternoon on Tuesday at Barde Zangidi, along Kaduna-Abuja Expressway. Although details of the attack are still sketchy, he was reportedly shot in the leg while his orderly was shot dead.

Speaking on the incident, the Zone 12 Police Command spokesperson, Thomas Goni, said he was yet to receive details of the attack. As at the time of filing this report, Force Public Relations Officer CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, was yet to respond to calls or reply messages in regards to the attack on AIG Madaki and his orderly.
