Goods and property worth millions of naira were destroyed by fire at the popular Warri Miller Waterside, close to the Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, in Warri South Local Government area of Delta state.

The inferno which occurred Wednesday night has thrown affected traders and shop owners into confusion as they count their losses and try to salvage what is left.
Although the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, some traders have blamed the periodic fire incidents at the Miller Waterside on the activities of illegal oil bunkers.
They want the state government and relevant security agencies to take action to prevent another repeat.
This is the second time this year the popular Warri Miller Waterside has been hit by fire
