The Emir of Zazzau, Nuhu Bamali has been appointed as the new Chancellor of Greenfield University, Kaduna in North-West Nigeria.
The appointment may not be unconnected with the spate of insecurity in Kaduna State following the terrorist attack on the school last year.
The Emir of Zazzau who lamented over the security situation of the country, said Nigeria has never had it this bad.
Pro-Chancellor of the University, Simon Nwakacha, said the institution had to be relocated from its permanent site, to avoid a repeat of last year’s attack, and to secure the lives of staff and students.

It would be recalled that on May 5, 2021, gunmen identified as terrorists, attacked Greenfield University, Kaduna, and abducted more than 20 students, and later killed five of them.
