Governor Bala Mohammed is to refund monies to all Peoples Democratic Party, PDP aspirants who lost or voluntarily withdrew from the recent PDP primaries in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria as part of efforts to reconcile party members. Monies to be refunded are amounts spent by the aspirants when they purchased party nomination and expression of interest forms.

The Governor believes the measure will ensure a formidable team that will lead to the victory of the party in the state and the country in the 2023 elections.

Governor Mohammed disclosed this during his meeting with all the PDP aspirants in Bauchi State at the Government House.

The Governor also promised to reinstate political appointees who resigned from their offices in government but failed to clinch the party’s ticket during the just concluded PDP primaries.

Speaking on behalf of the party, State PDP Chairman, Hamza Akuyam apologised to agrieved party members and urged them to work for the unity and success of the party.

It could be recalled that Governor Bala Mohammed had received the report of the reconciliation committee which recommended that all aspirants that lost in the PDP primaries be refunded for the success of the party.
