Cross River State Governor,Prof. Ben Ayade , has urged Christian Leaders in the state, to pray for peaceful elections in 2023 and a transition of power in the state without challenges.
Ayade stated this, while addressing the state Leadership of the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) in Government House Calabar.
The governor called on the Christian leaders to begin to spread the message of peace and development in Cross River State, assuring them that he will handover peacefully to the incoming Governor inline with laid down protocols.
He said the principles of Zoning which brought out the APC Governorship Candidate was inline with the “turn by turn” formular,started in 1992.
Speaking on the Need to continue praying for the state,Chairman of CAN in Cross River,Reverend Takis Caifas said peace and development is what the state needs.
Governor Ayade, also promised that his administration would continue to engage with the leadership of CAN periodically through the religious affairs for prayers for the State.
