Just In: Terrorists abduct nine persons including Professor Ango Abdullahi’s in-law

Gunmen identified as terrorists on Tuesday attacked Yakwada village in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria and abducted nine persons including the daughter-in-law of Chairman, Northern Elders’ Forum, Professor Ango Abdullahi and her four children.

According to confirmed reports, the terrorists also killed a patrol guard in the process.

Professor Ango Abdullahi’s daughter-in-law, Ramatu Samsila, is married to the Village Head of Yakawada, Rilwan Saudu, who is the son of the elder brother to the former Vice Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Kaduna State.

AIT.live gathered that among those abducted by the terrorists who came in large numbers with sophisticated weapons is one Abubakar Mijinyawa and two of his wives who are nursing mothers.

It was also gathered that some residents of the area sustained injuries and are now at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital receiving treatment.

It would be recalled that one of the Professor’s sons was among the abducted Abuja-Kaduna train passengers in March who only recently regained his freedom.

The Kaduna State Police Command is however yet to confirm the attack.
