Two more terrorists linked to Owo Church attack arrested

Nigeria’s Defense Headquarters says 2 more Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, linked to the attack on the Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State have been apprehended at Omialafara (Omulafa), Ose LGA, Ondo State

In a statement released on Thursday, Director Defense Information, Major General Jimmy Akpor says the suspects, Al-Qasim Idris and Abdulhaleem Idris were arrested through the collaborative efforts of the military and DSS personnel.

It also says Abdulhaleem Idris and other ISWAP commanders, previously coordinated attacks on military targets in Okene, Kogi State.


The announcement by Defense Headquarters comes on the heels of a previous announcement of 4 other terrorists linked to the attack on the church in June 5 2022 which left dozens of worshippers dead
