Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Abutu Yaro has assured the residents of their continuous safety following robust security arrangements.
Yaro while speaking with journalists shortly after a consultative security meeting with state officials, civil society organisations, Nigerian Bar Association, state security network and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ commended Governor Godwin Obaseki for the support in providing relevant logistics including operational vehicles, installation of CCTV cameras at strategic areas in the state.

He says the Command is ready and willing to fight kidnapping and other criminalities to the barest minimum saying that the state has recorded zero kidnapping incidents in the last 90 days.
Yaro said his men succeeded in foiling a kidnapping incident on the Benin-Lagos Expressway.
Speaking on the Anti-open Grazing Law, CP Yaro solicited the support and cooperation of relevant stakeholders for its implementation.
Noting the upsurge in crimes in the last four months of the year, the CP assured citizens in the state and those in the diapora of their safety as the Command and vigilante being trained will not relent in ensuring that the state is adequately secured.
