The Ebira community in Ondo State, South-West Nigeria have resolved to work with the State Government to reduce criminal activities.
This resolution was reached on Saturday when the State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu met with representatives of the Ebira community in Akure, the state capital.

The meeting was attended by heads of security agencies including the Nigerian Army, Police, Civil Defence, and Amotekun among others.
Briefing Newsmen after about two hours of closed-door meeting, Governor Akeredolu said the meeting became imperative because of the arrests of some suspects who are indigenes of Ebira accused of carrying out the attack on Saint Francis Catholic Church Owo and some other kidnapping cases in the state.
Akeredolu said the Ebira people should desist from anything that will affect the peaceful coexistence of the people of the state.
Akeredolu said the people of Ebira community have resolved to live peacefully with members of their host communities.
